Consultations and Pool Barrier Inspections

If it’s been years since your last inspection and you’re nervous about the short timeline of a compliance inspection or perhaps you are thinking about buying a spa and want to know the non-climb zones for a barrier and how they’d fit your space, a Consultation is your best path forward.

If you already have a barrier, we’ll complete a detailed assessment, discuss any issues with you and provide you with a report that explains what parts of your barrier need work and why.

We’ll also be available to provide as much ongoing advice as you need so you can reach compliance within your timeline.

Consultation

Pool Barrier Compliance Inspection.

If you’re confident that your barrier is in good shape, then go straight for the Pool Barrier Compliance Inspection.

We’ll complete a detailed inspection of your pool barrier. If your barrier is compliant, we’ll write you a Certificate of Compliance the same day.

If there are any issues that need to be addressed, we’ll discuss them with you at the inspection and go over potential solutions.

We’ll write you an Inspection Report and Notice under the Building Act (Form 147ZG) that you can share with the council to prove that you’ve had an inspection and are working your way towards compliance. You’ll have 60 days to address any issues before we must return and reinspect. We’ll be available to you during this time to give advice and also speak with your tradesmen to ensure you get a great result.

Pool Barrier Compliance Re-Inspection.

When your compliance inspection revealed some minor issues that needed to be addressed, we need to revisit within 60 days to confirm that the issues have been addressed and your barrier is now compliant.

During this visit we need to review your entire barrier however, since we checked it recently, this is usually a much faster (and therefore cheaper) visit that leads to a Certificate of Barrier Compliance.
